Organoleptic properties

Deep ruby red. A wine with great character on the nose: sensations of black and red berries are backed by spicy notes, hints of licorice and cocoa and notes of eucalyptus. It is a full-bodied but not heavy wine, extremely satisfying and easy to drink. The alcohol percentage is well-balanced. Delicious now, it will age well.

Description

Askos is the name of our project dedicated to the research, selection and valorization of the local heritage of native varieties. The wines are produced exclusively with grapes coming from particularly favourable areas in which the vine is trained following tradition. The symbol is an askos, a Greek “decanter” dating from the 1st century B.C.

this wine is the quintessential of Susumaniello, the fermentation and ageing are perfectly adjusted to the grape variety and terroir of provenance. Ready for drinking but also perfect for ageing.
