This wine has a remarkable structure: soft and full-bodied on the palate with a fresh, elegant tannic backbone.
Description
Askos is the name of our project dedicated to the research, selection and valorization of the local heritage of native varieties. The wines are produced exclusively with grapes coming from particularly favourable areas in which the vine is trained following tradition. The symbol is an askos, a Greek “decanter” dating from the 1st century B.C.
”A careful selection of grapes picked from alberello trained vines with an average age of 30 years. This wine retains the typical concentration of the grape but remains strikingly fresh and pure, making it particularly elegant and suitable for ageing, unusual for the Primitivo variety.
